NBC Universal announced plans to create its West Coast News and Content Center at Metro Studio@Lankershim, and also intends for Metro Studio@Lankershim to serve as home to NBC Network News’ Los Angeles Bureau, KNBC, KVEA, and Access Hollywood.

The Metro Studio@Lankershim will achieve the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® Green Building Rating at the Silver certification level.

Transit Oriented Development

Located at the Metro Rail’s Universal City Station, the Metro Studio@Lankershim will encourage employees to take public transit to and from work, minimizing the impacts on the local neighborhood.

NBC Universal’s Planned State-of-the-Art, Digital Television Production Center

NBC Universal’s West Coast News headquarters will offer world-class newsgathering, broadcasting, editing and production facilities for all network and local news operations. The facility will enable NBC Universal to deliver media on a variety of platforms, from mp3 players to cell phones, the Internet and beyond to all emerging technologies.


Enhanced Community Open Space

The Metro Studio@Lankershim will include a magnificently landscaped open plaza where local neighbors can gather and relax. This plaza will complement the adjacent Historic Campo de Cahuenga, and will be designed to improve access to the Campo by enhancing open space, providing lush landscaping, upgrading lighting and signage, and building safe and ample parking for visitors.
